I love shop puns and van puns and snack van puns.
I’m not a massive pun fan generally, mostly because they seem to be created by people who find a word and then grind the gears to reverse engineer something that fits.
Shops are a different matter, though. There’s something disarming and self-deprecating about a good shop pun. They take me to the moment of discovery, too. On the sofa, after months of planning to make the business idea come to life, he or she is sitting there, and suddenly there’s the lightbulb moment: “Let’s call it Jason Donervan.”
