Political jargon

A couple of years ago, I set up a service called Polifiller. It was a jargon removal tool for politicians, designed to strike a line through cliches and economies with the truth. “What I’m clear about”, “I was talking to someone in my constituency this week” – that sort of thing. It’s remarkable how quaint it seems in the age of Trump. Anyway, here’s an interview I did with John Humphrys on the Today Programme on Polifiller. Setting up the site, with all of the ‘background technology’, cost me about a tenner, which only goes to prove that the best stunts are the lowest cost stunts. I almost said ‘cheap’ then. My political gland prevented me.
