I’ve been having a go at oil painting. Art was my favourite subject at Secondary school. Getting lost in paint or pencil and just daydreaming was the best part of the day.
I’ve occasionally picked up a pencil or a brush since, but not often, and over the last few months, inspired by what I’ve seen by real artists on Instagram, I’ve been having a try.
It isn’t easy, but finding something to lose myself in has been a great joy. I’ve missed daydreaming and I can’t think of a better way of achieving it. Here’s some of the things I’ve done to date.
